Otmoor in Oxfordshire

A major RSPB wetland site in the Midlands this should give a great days birdwatching in Autumn. Resident breeding birds now include Marsh Harrier, Bittern and Common Crane and masses of wildfowl and waders plus other raptors can give a really long ‘list’. No facilities on site. Hopefully car sharing with a meet in Cheltenham prior to departure – full details later.

As before this year please let me know if you intend coming on a particular trip in case changes are needed to be emailed out – this worked really well in the spring saving much time and phone calls! PLEASE NOTE - it is the responsibility of those participating in these trips to ensure they have sufficient food and drink and appropriate clothing. Some of the venues are open and exposed - very cold in winter or very hot in the summer whilst some are steep, muddy or rocky (or even all three!). Contact Tim Fretter for more details if required. For emergency use only on or around the day of the trip contact on 07854209531.
